Who is this class suitable for?
Beginners to intermediate makers
What will I make?
A handmade spoon in copper. Enough material are available to make more than one spoon if time allows.
What will I learn?
You will learn to use a piercing saw to shape copper sheet. You'll use a hand held torch to solder a handle to the spoon. You'll explore different mark making techniques - stamping, roll printing and hammerign to add detail to your design and learn to use a hammer and stake to shape the bowl of the spoon. You'll learn how to file, sand and polish your spoon for a beautiful finish.
