  • Class Description

Who is this class suitable for?

    Beginners to intermediate makers

    What will I make?

You will begin by making a selection of samples and experimental pieces. Based on these you'll make a final brooch or pendant or two.

    What will I learn?

You will learn to shape and clean copper sheet. You'll learn to apply layers of glass powder and to kiln fire the pieces to fuse the materials together.  You'll have a selection of ready made digital ceramic transfer available to apply to your pieces to explore colour, pattern and layering.

Ceramic transfers can be created from photographs, scanned images or hand made imagery. The design is supplied as a paper transfer which is soaked in water and slid onto a pre-enamelled surface. The transfer is then air dried and fired at 850 degrees in the enameling kiln.

    What is included?

All tools, equipment and materials are provided.
