Follow these guidelines to keep your jewellery looking it's best.
- Keep away from chemicals such as cosmetics, perfume and cleaning products. These can cause some metals and materials to deteriorate or discolour.
- Store away from direct sunlight. Bright light can cause some materials to fade. Ideally store your piece in a soft bag or lined box away from other jewellery which could tangle with or damage it.
- Keep away from water. Don't wear your jewellery in the shower or when you're washing up, no matter how glamorous it looks it could easily damage your jewellery.
- Vintage materials may change over time and can develop a worn patina. This is a normal reaction of some materials on contact with air and skin. Pieces are designed with this in mind but if you would like to restore your jewellery to it's original look you can return it to me for cleaning. (Prices vary).
- Be gentle. Vintage materials can be especially delicate so treat them with extra care. Vintage materials can be unpredictable and may have had a hard life in their previous incarnation. If your jewellery breaks or is damaged it can be always repaired or remade into a new piece. (Prices vary).
- Some vintage materials may be unsuitable for people with metal or nickel allegies.
